Acting Career
As an adjunct to my academic studies I have also embarked on a highly successful career as a film actor, which I believe has helped to equip me with the skills required for leadership.

Much like actors, effective leaders must utilise active listening skills and possess a heightened level of emotional intelligence to navigate complex situations. Actors, in their pursuit of authenticity, engage in active listening by attentively responding to their fellow actors, and similarly, leaders can develop a deeper understanding of their team's needs, concerns, and motivations by empathetically perceiving their perspectives and emotions. I believe my extensive experience as an actor since the age of 13 has significantly enriched my capacity for empathy. This skill extends beyond the stage, permeating my personal and professional life, as it fosters an environment where people feel comfortable opening up and trusting me.

In both acting and leadership, adaptability is an indispensable quality. Actors frequently encounter unexpected changes during performances, mirroring the adaptability required of leaders who must remain open to change, pivot when necessary, and make well-informed decisions in dynamic situations. For instance, during the filming of 'Glorious Ashes,' I faced a scenario where the director decided to completely overhaul the film's ending, challenging and showcasing my adaptability.

Creativity serves as a cornerstone in both acting and leadership. Actors employ creative approaches to character development and storytelling, while leaders who encourage creativity within their teams often inspire innovation and effective problem-solving. Throughout my acting journey, I have constantly been invited to experiment with characters, which has significantly honed my creativity skills—a quality that resonates with my friends who frequently praise my vivid imagination.

Additionally, frequent introspection is a practice common to both actors and effective leaders. Actors engage in self-reflection to better understand themselves, a quality that proves invaluable to leaders as well. Leaders with a heightened sense of self-awareness can identify their strengths and weaknesses, implement improvements, and relate more effectively to their team members. Each time I revisit my acting work, I seize the opportunity for introspection, ensuring a continuous journey of personal growth.

Lastly, the world of acting is renowned for its challenges, characterised by ever-present rejection and criticism. In parallel, leaders must stay resilience when confronted with setbacks and adversity, unwavering in their focus and motivation to achieve their objectives. Throughout my acting journey, I have faced and embraced rejection as a learning experience. Moreover, the entertainment industry's landscape, with both positive and negative feedback, has nurtured my ability to discern constructive criticism from trolling, thereby preserving my mental well-being.

Much like actors who craft narratives on stage, leaders intricately shape narratives of positive change, growth, and advancement within the organisations they guide. Therefore, I am of the firm belief that my progressing acting career (you may view my IMDb page here) alongside my commitment to environmental work offers a unique perspective on leadership. This multifaceted experience not only allows me to display and develop my leadership skills in a distinctive manner but also grants me a fresh perspective on the concept of leadership itself.

Acting Reviews
"Juliet Bao Ngoc Doling's acting is most outstanding. She fully described the character and fate of the character through her innocent face, talking eyes and smile, and her gentle, steady but cold voice filled with many hidden memories...." (translated from Vietnamese)
"The central voice in the film is that of Hau (Bao Ngoc Doling, impressive)."
