Video Pitch

Hello, my name is Juliet Doling and this is my video pitch for the Deakin Leadership Hallmark Award.

I have been fortunate enough to have held my Wild Rhino Youth Ambassador leadership role with the Wilderness Foundation Africa for over 4 years. During this period, I have worked with individuals of all ages, organisations and government agencies to promote the conservation of rhinos and end the use of rhino horns. Throughout this campaign, I have managed to raise public awareness of the issue and inspired people to learn more about the environment and conservation, which is a growing field in Vietnam.

Reflecting the dedication I gave to the role, I was recruited to be the campaign representative during my gap year. During this period I managed to increase the number of campaign partners, distribute more merchandise, increase the number of events, and reconnect with many old Youth Ambassadors.

​

Despite no longer being a campaign representative, I am still a Wild Rhino Youth Ambassador and provide the campaign support or lead events whenever possible.
